Special antenatal seminars at Pantai Hospital Ipoh in mid-July

IPOH, July 5 (Bernama) -- Pantai Hospital Ipoh is organising a special My Child's First Gift & Antenatal seminar for three consecutive days beginning July 13.

Its Business Development & Corporate Communications senior manager, Betty Caleb said at the seminar expectant mothers would be able to record their child's movements in the womb into a work of art.

She said in a special scanning session, participants over 22 weeks into their pregnancy, would be able to witness a baby's every movement in the womb, being translated as splashes of colours.

"When the device is placed on a mother's belly, the baby's movements would be recorded and translated into a magnificent art piece as a child's first gift," she told a press conference at Syuen Hotel here, today.

She added that this is the first time the scanning device was introduced in a hospital in Malaysia adding that it was introduced in Taiwan a few years ago and brought to Singapore last year.

The seminar conducted by medical specialists would cover topics on nutrition, breast feeding, postnatal exercises and care of the newborn.

Those interested may choose either July 13, 14 or 15 to attend the seminar. For more details, contact 012-5218273 or register online via Pantai Hospital Ipoh Facebook.
