BP Healthcare launches first vaccine center



BUTTERWORTH, July 11 (Bernama) -- BP Healthcare Group Malaysia in partnership with Sanofi Pasteur Malaysia has launched their first Vaccine Centre, aimed at educating the public on the importance of vaccination to prevent infectious diseases.



This is also to support the continuous effort of the World Health Organisation (WHO​) to highlight disease prevention and encourage the people at every level to take a step further to increase immunisation coverage by the administration of vaccine.



BP Healthcare director Lovy Beh, in a statement, said the group’s goal was to make a positive impact on all Malaysians and to help reduce healthcare expenditure towards building a healthier and more productive nation.



“The launch of the Vaccine Centre in Penang is the first of many more centres by BP Healthcare nationwide and I hope the public will utilise the services that are readily available to meet their needs,” she said.



Meanwhile, State Youth and Sports Committee chairman, Soon Lip Chee in his opening address, urged the people of Penang to put vaccination as a priority, not secondary .



He also stressed on the importance of youths taking charge of their own health and helping to educate their friends and family on health as their voice is influential.



Also present at the launch was Sanofi Pasteur’s associate key account manager, Cheah Chor Boon.
