IJN Private to offer new comprehensive treatment by this year

KUALA LUMPUR, Feb 14 (Bernama) – Institut Jantung Negara (IJN) Private is making its maiden move to enhance its services by offering new comprehensive treatment including kidneys, lungs and women’s healthcare to its patients by this year.

Its Head and Director of Operations, Private Healthcare Division,  Datuk Dr Mohamed Ezani Md Taib said the efforts were underway to help the patients and it could soon give a new lease of life to them.

“Most of our patients are not solely  having heart problems because when the heart is weak it also affects the lungs.

“Some of them also have diabetes and high blood pressure which in the affects their kidneys. Thus, they require intensive treatment,” ” he told the media in conjunction with  IJN Private’s 2nd anniversary here today.

Dr Mohamed Ezani said heart disease is on the rise in women and IJN Private was taking a step  forward by offering woman’s healthcare services to them.

“The problem of women having heart diseases has started to rise either due to lifestyle or hereditary reasons, This we will research and it will help us in treating them. We will also offer comprehensive treatment like mammogram tests and pap smear,” he said.

Meanwhile, as part of the anniversary celebrations, IJN Private launched a virtual reality (VR) viewing of ist private clinic and wellness centre, making it the first hospital in Malaysia to embrace VR360 technology.

The virtual video will give an audience experience on interactive hospital tour that shows 360-degree video by accessing the website and scan with QR code.

IJN Private received 17,953 patients in 2017 and 20,938 patients in 2018.
