KUALA LUMPUR, April 9 (Bernama) -- A Karnival Kesihatan Kanak-Kanak has been organised by Persatuan Sahabat Harapan Selangor and the state Health, Welfare, Women and Family Empowerment Committee recently.
Organised at the MBSA Hall in Kemuning Utama, Shah Alam, the event saw health screenings by DoctorOnCall for children involving growth plotting, developmental milestones, visual and colour blindness test and autism screening.
Adults also underwent blood pressure checks, and diabetes and body weight assessment, according to a statement.
In addition to health screenings, participants were also able to consult a doctor directly on-site or online via DoctorOnCall's platform, an online clinic with qualified doctors offering consultation services on frequent illness occurrences.
Also present to promote the health awareness programme was chairman of the state Health, Welfare, Women and Family Empowerment Committee, Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud, who is also Seri Serdang assemblyman.
The statement also focused on the Peduli Sihat Scheme categories for families and individuals, whereby members were provided free access to healthcare services via selected panel clinics, including DoctorOnCall.
