Mawar Haemodialysis Centre hopes to get licence soon

SEREMBAN, July 29 (Bernama) – The Mawar Haemodialysis Centre hopes the government will give immediate consideration to its application to obtain the licence for it to resume operations soon after it was revoked on Jan 12.

The centre had started the process of obtaining the licence from the Health Ministry by resolving various issues including settling the lease for the land on which it is currently sited.

Its chairman Datuk Lee Tian Hock said it recently paid RM100,000 for a one-year lease of the land, which was one of the conditions for applying the licence to operate.

Speaking to reporters here today, Lee said the hospital has 89 beds which are all in good condition, as well as facilities and a complete medical team.

“We really hope we can offer haemodialysis treatment again to the patients, especially the poor, as we have done in the last 20 years,” he said.
