Seven areas in Sabah still with moderate API readings



KOTA KINABALU,  Sept  9 -- Seven areas in Sabah and Labuan still recorded moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) readings as at 5 pm today.

According to the Department of Environment’s  (DOE) website, the API reading in Labuan was 62, Kota Kinabalu Polytechnic (63),  Kota Kinabalu (55), Kimanis (54), Keningau (54), Sandakan (60) and Tawau (54).

API readings between 0 and 50 are categorised as good, 51-100 as moderate, 101-200 as unhealthy, 201-300 as very unhealthy, and 300 and above as hazardous.

The public can refer to the DOE’s website at http://apims.doe.gov.my for the latest updates on API readings in Sabah.
