Sabah records moderate API this afternoon



KOTA KINABALU, Sept 11 -- Sabah recorded a moderate Air Pollutant Index (API) as of 4 pm today.

According to the website of the Department of Environment (DOE), the Politeknik Kota Kinabalu API was 64, followed by Kimanis (62), Kota Kinabalu (57), Keningau (61), Sandakan (51) and Tawau (52).        

The tax-free island of Labuan reported an API reading of 64.

The API reading of between 0 and 50 is categorised as good, 51 until 100 (moderate), 101 to 200 (unhealthy), 201 until 300 (very unhealthy) and 300 and above (dangerous).        

Members of the public can refer to the website http://apims.doe.gov.my to find out about the latest API reading in Sabah.
