KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 19 -- One of the important things for people dealing with mental health issues is to know where to find help.
Among many other institutions, Universiti Malaya Specialist Centre ( UMSC ) which has eight to 10 psychiatrists is ready to provide such help, says its consultant psychiatrist Prof Dr Amer Siddiq Amer Nordin.
He asserted that those with mental health issues need not despair as help is available as long as they come to the right place.
"One of the limitations we had in the “Let’s TALK” campaign previously (T is for talking to someone, A is Asking for help, L is for listening without judging) is K, for know where to find help,” he said after the launch of the UMSC Mental Health Symposium 2019, today.
Dr Amer Siddiq said the programme today was part of UMSC ’s contribution towards the national mental health agenda.
