PETALING JAYA, Dec 3 -- Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad said he is scheduled to have an audience with the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Almarhum Sultan Iskandar tomorrow over efforts to repair Sultanah Aminah Hospital (HSA) that was affected by a fire three years ago.
"I would be able to share with him what are our efforts and hiccups since 2016 (under the previous administration)...how much we (the current government) have spent and so on,” he told reporters after launching a mental health handbook here today.
The minister said he was aware of Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Tunku Ismail Ibni Sultan Ibrahim's recent visit to the hospital.
Tunku Ismail has expressed his disappointment on Facebook over what he viewed as the federal government's lack of effort in repairing the HSA's intensive care unit following the fire.
To a question, Dr Dzulkefly said that the Cabinet has decided that the findings on the HSA fire, which took place on Oct 25, 2016 and claimed six lives, would be disclosed.
"We have decided to disclose these findings, and I think hopefully soon you'll have the findings on the HSA fire," he said
