YKKK raises over RM30,000 for cancer, chronic patients



KOTA BHARU, Jan 11 -- Yayasan Kaseh Kanser dan Kronik (YKKK), in collaboration with Raja Perempuan Zainab ll Hospital welfare club, has succeeded in raising over RM30,000 for cancer and chronic patients through its Monsoon Charity Ride 2020 held here today.

YKKK founder and chairman Datuk Ahmad Dusuki Sheikh Mohamad said the fund raised would be used to help cover the cost of transportation and medical expenses of underprivileged patients receiving treatment of cancer and other chronic illnesses.

“All praise be to Allah... today we managed to bring together 1,300 participants who also contributed to the cause.

“We hope this programme will not be the last and, if possible, we would like to turn it into an annual event. Today is the first programme for the year 2020 and we really welcome donations from the public to help those in need,” he told Bernama after the programme here today.

Also present was Tengku Temenggong of Kelantan Tengku Tan Sri Datuk Mohammad Rizal Tengku Abdullah Aziz.

During the ride, the participants also stopped and paid a visit to the occupants at the Rumah Seri Kenangan Pengkalan Chepa old folks’ home.
