KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 17 (Bernama) -- Sunway Medical Centre (SMC), in partnership with Samsung Malaysia Electronics, has launched ‘Time to Move', a 90-day wellness programme to guide participants on a holistic health journey.

SMC Chief Executive Officer Dr Seow Vei Ken said the programme, which begins with a body check-up and is concluded by a final assessment, empowers participants to take charge of their well-being by providing tools, professional guidance and consistent support over 90 days, to ensure long-lasting improvements in their health.

"The Time to Move programme reflects our commitment to holistic wellness, starting with an initial body check-up to help participants understand where they stand, and ending with a final assessment that shows how far they've come.

"It’s not just about knowing your numbers at the start, but about making real changes over 90 days to become a healthier version of yourself," he said, adding that the programme has received over 200 signups since Oct 3.

He also said that the he programme is created for individuals aged 18 and above who are keen to improve their health and are not on any medication.

Dr Seow gave a brief run through of the programme, stating that participants would begin with a comprehensive health screening at Sunway Wellness Centre, including an Inbody test and a blood test to establish key health metrics and would take part in a series of engaging fitness challenges as well as health talks by the healthcare professionals, over the following months.

"Sixty participants (out of 200 signups) have been chosen to embark on this exciting journey. The selected participants will receive a Samsung Galaxy Watch7 to track daily activity, monitor calories burned, body composition and measure sleep quality.

"Monthly challenges focusing on physical activities and sleep scores will keep participants motivated, while healthcare professionals will provide regular insights and guidance based on their progress," he added.

Apart from physical challenges, the programme includes group workout sessions led by experts, ensuring participants stay motivated and engaged throughout their journey,h e said, noting that participants will undergo a final check-up to compare their results and celebrate their progress at the end of the 90 days.

The participant with the best progress will walk away with a Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 and a 3-day, 2-night getaway for two at The Banjaran Hotsprings Retreat, worth RM10,000. 

Meanwhile, Samsung Malaysia’s vice president and Head of Mobile eXperience Business, KM Liew said that the company drives innovation in health monitoring, offering advanced tools through sleep tracking, fitness coaching or nutritional insights.
