Pengamal media perlu empati, cakna berita kesihatan

KUALA LUMPUR, 5 Jun (Bernama) -- Pengamal media termasuk media baharu perlu bertanggungjawab, empati dan cakna dalam penulisan berita, isu dan idea mengenai perkhidmatan kesihatan.

Menteri Kesihatan Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad berkata mereka mesti melaporkan sesuatu isu berdasarkan fakta yang sahih serta tepat, dan bukan berdasarkan andaian semata-mata.

"Walaupun pengamal media sentiasa berusaha untuk cepat mengeluarkan berita, tetapi harus pastikan apa dilaporkan adalah fakta benar," katanya pada majlis berbuka puasa Menteri Kesihatan bersama pengamal media, di sini hari ini.

Dr Dzulkefly berkata setiap pengamal media juga harus mempraktikkan etika kewartawanan berasaskan nilai murni sejagat dalam menjalankan tanggungjawab mereka.

Berhadapan dengan era media sosial seperti Facebook, Instagram, Twitter dan Whatsapp masa ini, petugas media hendaklah sentiasa lebih peka dan tahu bagaimana hendak bertindak menangani isu yang tersebar, katanya.

Majlis itu dihadiri kira-kira 200 pengamal media termasuk wartawan dan editor serta jurufoto.

Neurosurgery expert Dr Nor Faizal Ahmad Bahuri describes pain as an unpleasant sensation that can be felt whenever there is a tissue injury.
