3,488 dengue cases in KL, Putrajaya so far this year

HFMD: 37,986 cases recorded nationwide up till Thursday

KUALA SELANGOR, July 28 (Bernama) -- A total of 37,986 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) cases were reported nationwide up till Thursday with many states except Sarawak recording a rise compared to the corresponding period last year.


Selangor on alert level for HFMD

The HFMD cases peaked in early May namely between 15th week and 17th week with about 600 cases per week being recorded statewide.

The number of HFMD cases that is spreading is scary but if we can resolve this problem through gate-keeping at the entry points of the schools, this could solve the problem more effectively.

I think it's important for employers to be understanding, otherwise parents will feel guilty and send their children to school or nursery, when in fact, their child (needs) to be housed (quarantined) at home so that the disease will not continue to spread.
